I’m still alive… I just wanted to make sure that I wish everyone a Happy and prosperous New Year. I spent the New Year with some friends who were visiting and promptly spent the weekend sick. I did get to see a
a little movie named the “Curious Case of Benjamin Button”. It’s absolutely fabulous and I hope you’ll get to see it. Gorgeous cinematography and both Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett were fabulous in it. For those of you who are fans of a young Brad, there is a scene where he looks just like he did in “Thelma & Louise”. Really… The magic of movies. I wish it worked that way in real life.
I don’t have any real New Year’s resolutions. More like goals. For example, I have 3 WIPs that are within inches of transforming into FO’s. I am determined to have all three finished before I cast on for something else. My closest one is the Somewhat Cowl. I’m just on the cowl neck. Soooo close. I’ve got a jillion projects in my Ravelry queue. I’m debating whether to clean the queue up to what is more of a reality or keep it as is which is a complete fantasy. Right now, I’m leaning towards fantasy.
I also have another sweater on the needles called Gatsby Girl’s Pullover from a past Interweave. I’m kinda in a hurry to finish it. Hopefully, I can still fit in it by the time it’s finished. I have some news that I’ll reveal soon that will have me gaining weight. Hopefully not too much though so I won’t have too much to lose later. In the same token, I have to eat better. In terms of getting enough nutrients. And exercise. I want to stop eating out so much and learn how to cook more flavorful meals. I have tons of cookbooks but not so many meals at home. So those are my goals.
Things that I’ve worked on in the past year… hmm… why do I feel like a failure? I’ve done better with keeping up with friends. Hehe… Facebook has done me wonders with that. I’ve emailed with friends I haven’t seen since high school. I’ve knit a lot. It doesn’t seem like I’ve finished much though. I should look at ravelry and figure out what I’ve done in 2008. Too lazy right now though. I’m much more confident at work. I married my best friend and had a wonderful wedding.
Once again, I hope everyone has a wonderful year. I promise to blog more. Fatigue has a way of making your bed look more inviting than your computer.
